Bridge Maintenance Phase I Project, P.I.N. 3755.16
This is an element specific bridge work project. The purpose is to perform required maintenance that will extend each bridge’s life cycle.
Work will be undertaken on nine bridges located in Onondaga County. The bridges were constructed between 1977 and 2008, and present no major structural or functional problems. Each bridge is a steel multi girder structure with a concrete deck and wearing surface. Each of the roads is classified as a Rural-Major Collector or an Urban-Minor Arterial Road. Typical work will include bridge washing, deck sealing, bearing rehabilitation, expansion joint replacement, and concrete deck repairs. Please go to the project details tab for a description of anticipated work at each bridge site.
No Property Acquisitions will be needed for the project.
Unless safety prohibits, pedestrian access across all bridges will be maintained during construction. Work zone traffic controls will be in place.
Maintenance of Traffic
Two way alternating traffic will be maintained at all times during construction. No road closures or off-site detours are anticipated.
Total project cost: $1,002,500
This is a Federally Funded, Locally Administered, Federal Aid Project. Anticipated Funding sources are 80% Federal, 15% State, and 5% Local.
