The Ames Building houses the offices of the Monroe County Medical Examiner, Chief Investigator, and staff in 20,000 SF of office, laboratory, and walk-in cooler spaces. The original 1992 building was in need of significant renovations related to exterior building envelope, HVAC, and site work. Popli Design Group (PDG) led a consultant team to design solutions for these issues. A 3,000 SF building expansion was also required to enlarge the existing Toxicology Lab, which includes the addition of an enclosed loading/unloading space. PDG led a consultant team to design solutions for these issues and replace major building and site components.
