Survey
The project replaced the existing bridge with a three-sided precast concrete structure with precast wingwalls founded on an invert slab. The highway is now raised to provide adequate cover to allow for a standard highway section over the new structure. In order to provide a more efficient hydraulic opening and match the current stream alignment, the bridge was shifted to the north by 15’-0” and skewed 10 degrees. By realigning the structure, a gentler bend in the stream channel was created within the vicinity of the structure inlet and outlet. The channel banks were regraded and protected with stone fill.
