Popli Design Group (PDG) provided plumbing, fire protection, and electrical engineering for the 18,000 square foot gut renovation of the library basement for a new state-of-the-art medical simulation facility with seven fully equipped simulation rooms to mimic operating rooms. 

PDG’s plumbing and fire protection scope of work included the provision of new medical air and vacuum systems. Sanitary, vent, domestic hot and cold water, and sprinkler systems were extended to accommodate the new layout.  

Our electrical engineering services included updated lighting and power for the new use. LED accent lighting was integrated into architectural features to supplement general area lighting. Lighting control systems were also part of the design.

Revit was utilized by all trades allowing for items such as sprinkler heads, lights, diffusers, as well as duct and pipe runs to be coordinated and rerouted prior to construction.
